Hi!  Thanks for checking out Defy Adventures.  We're creating a community of cancer survivors who have the courage to do ANYTHING!

But let me tell you how we got here.

About 2 years ago, I made a major decision that changed the direction of my life.

I'm a young adult cancer survivor - it's been 9 years since I was first diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 1999.  BTW: you can read about my cancer story on my blog here.

If you've read my story, you know that cancer became a tremendous gift in my life - cancer was the catalyst for me to really understand who I was and to live as I wanted to be.  So 2 years ago, I decided that I wanted to start helping other young adults who were facing or had already beaten cancer.

In my experience and from what I've observed in other young survivors, the healing from cancer doesn't end after the last treatment.  Healing the body from cancer is just one aspect of a bigger process we all go through.   What about emotional healing?  What about spiritual healing?  What about using this experience of cancer and the incredibly vulnerability of it to find out who you Truly Are?

That's where I want to help. 

The idea for Defy Adventures was spawned from this desire.

How can we take this Tragedy of cancer and turn it into Triumph?  Come with us on the journey of a lifetime and find out.
